Had it last week and enjoyed it.

L. Fisher, on the other hand, fed it to the plants Smile

Did a charity event tonight, so sampled a fair amount, have an in-home tasting for some folks tomorrow, then do the Pratt's dinner (isn't it more lunch?) on Sunday. Yikes, my liver will be taping out by Monday!

Creating Cellar Space

Drinking a 2005 Mitolo Savitar by myself, to create more room for things I like more. The Savitar is pretty good, though.

I've been doing the same recently, and found I like something (even if it's just a teeny something) in wines I thought I'd hate.

I still think John Duval's Entity Shiraz is great juice - if you close your eyes and think real hard, it's almost Northern Rhoney, nose only of course.

Sucked down a 75 BV Cab (not GDL) and 96 LaSalle Special Club tonight with the folks. Both rockin.

This is one of my all time favorite bottles. It takes a bit to sing and when it does its ethereal. I popped one two years ago and I'm sitting on the rest for just a bit longer.

Just pulled the corks on an '05 Alban Reva and an '05 Maybach. No idea what the rest of the Houston crew is bringing as it is supposed to be a bagged dinner. Will also start with a bottle of '02 von Strasser Rainin Vineyard Chardonnay.

I'm heading up to a party at the new Hourglass Blueline vineyard. I may take an 05 Maybach -- not sure what may be floating around up there, so I figure I'll come strapped, just in case. And I've been dying to try one anyhow.

Last night had an average 2006 Klinker Brick Zinfandel and a pretty good 2005 Jaffurs Late Harvest Syrah.

Tonight we cracked a 2003 Vinas del Cenit Cenit to go with our food.

DOn't know about tomorrow yet.

Last night was a 2001 Spottswoode and tonight at dinner was a 2007 Dashe Cellars Zin followed by a 2006 KB RRV pinot.

Hope you boys behaved yourselves at the Wine Expo. I guess I'm out of touch, I didn't even realize it was this weekend.
