Bottom line: You cannot go wrong with a Special Club Champagne.
Ok, I did once with 1997 Le Brun Servenay.
But I've blocked that from memory.
This was driven by pinot, rounding out nicely with a caramel-laced finish. Great stuff - PC blows this out like twice a year for $49.

Hey! It was just last night for crying out loud you said you would save that one for our tasting next week! Man, ye of little willpower! Although, I suppose it is likely you're sitting on a whole stash of these babies. In which case, "Great note! Look forward to trying one!"

I've got plenty where that came from - you made me nervous to try one after your lackluster review!
Then again, I can't go by your "Quildeda-lovin'" palate to make my Champagne judgements .
