Decanted 2 hours, consumed over 2 days.
Day 1: Tight as a drum. Nose was quite fragrant, spices, red fruits. A bit sharp in the mouth, finished with some heat, good but not memorable.
Day 2: Aromas leaping from the glass, baking spices, cherries, raspberries, flowers. The sharpness has subsided, unbelievably smooth and rich for such a young CdP. More akin to a Central Coast/Paso Robles SGM blend than a CdP. Nicely balanced, long finish.

I would imagine an '06 CDP is rather tight - if I open one, I'll probably open the day before drinking...
Hope the Rhone snobs don't see your Central Coast reference!

I have actually already downed 2 of these. With a 3 hour decant I thought they were pretty good CDP, even better on day 2. I recently had a St Jean regular CDP and thought the Terroir was a superior wine at this stage.

The richness, silkiness and mouthfeel of this is definitely Paso-like. I enjoy CdP, and love the classic texture, nose (got to love the barnyard!) and flavors of VT, Sabon, Pegau, etc., but I'd be shocked if anyone could identify this blind as a CdP...
