Tonight---A Sonic Burger on the road down to Houston.
Tomorrow---Dinner at Lucio's with the Houston Crew...haven't seen the menu that has been prepared for us yet. Wine theme will be Big Reds and I am swinging for the fences.
Sunday---Unknown

Bill, glad you asked.
Today for lunch I get together with a few other coworkers and a retired boss and eat very well indeed: Ponte Vecchio's in Bayridge Brooklyn.
We do this about 3x a year and we all really look forward to it. Freshly made beautful italian food with a few bottles each of Brunello and Barolo. Wow
It is in my estimation the best Italian restaurant in Brooklyn NY. I have been going there since 1981.
Tonight we have a pizza party at my buddy Toms home. I bring two grandma pies and he makes some round jobbies as well as the always expected super calzone.
A few more bottles from the cellar and Bobs your uncle........
Then comes Saturday.....

Best Italian in Brooklyn...bold statement. I say this with no frame of reference as I have never been even remotely close to NYC.

Tomorrow - have some leftover risotto from last night that I might turn into Arancini as a snack. Dinner TBD.
Sunday - will lobby for some Dominican take-out from a great place in da Bronx.

Starting off with a little venison carpaccio, then a nice risotto, and the main course being filet with a blue cheese torte. Cheesecake for dessert
Bill, this is a preliminary menu I got from Tom. We're ten strong now so this looks like it might get pretty out of hand. Good thing Tom and I both live within walking distance from Lucio's if necessary. How many bottles are you bringing? I'm thinking one white, two reds.

I went up to Dallas for New Year's and the new Collin Street Bakery on 45 in Corsicana is definitely worth a stop. The best jalapeno cheese rolls you'll ever taste

My plan is for a bottle of 2002 von Strasser Rainin Vineyard Chardonnay and a monster red. I thought about two reds, but you are right...this could get out of hand quickly and I have to get back to Jersey Village.

Speaking of 'It's Friday, What are you _____ this weekend' threads - whatever happened to that Rodney character anyway. Don't see him around much anymore.

Bill and David - you guys need a room?
I, like Cris, will be going to Pre-Falltacular tonight, with a couple bottles of 'wine that excites me'. Yay! I'm so excited!
Tomorrow I will go with my bro-in-law to UGC in LA for some Bordeaux and to hang with Leve.

I am having a little wine event at my Casa tomorrow for a number of members of my Charity who are all working hard for our upcoming Culinary Festival. There should be some tasty wines popped and poured.

My usual Penne Salsiccia at Antica Tratorria, the best Italian in San Diego. Nancy, if you read this, we have to get together either at this Italian place or Wine Vault. Since the Italian is only 1 mile from my house, we could stop here for some nice wines afterwards.
BTW Mel can't wait to see you.
