I know Melissa is not, since she is in Hawaii, and will soon be in Iceland or something, just because she asked to go.
Good thing I have the many thousands of cases of wine in my cellar to keep me stocked until the freeze is over. I may have to break into the secondary cellar as well, also with thousands of cases.

I'm on a buying "anything" freeze. I passed on my Dehlinger this go around, just don't have the funds. But I still have a winery with plenty of syphon tubes around...

You don't understand because you are money, baby.
I'd love to take advantage of all KINDS of deals happening in wine and everything else right now, but it just ain't happening, as there takes the cashish ahead of time to actually do it.

I SHOULD be on a freeze, but as Justin said, with the deals out there these days it's too tempting to pass. I do buy in trickles though. Actually trying to snag a lot or two at Zachy's auction on Thursday.....will split with a buddy.

There are to many bargains out there right now for me to stop buying. Mainly I'm back filling bordeaux but I've also got some great deals on older cabs and rhones.

I'm technically on a wine-buying freeze after an irresponsible buying-spree at the end of December. We'll see how it goes. I made an exception for a couple of bottles of Todd Hamina's new Syrah XX, which is 20% Viognier. It sounded interesting.

Ironically, you were on that freeze when you bought the multiple cases of wine...

I'm trying, but damn it's hard with 20 e-mail offers a day.

I am not buying any wine currently..well except the occasional under $20 bottle that really looks like it needs a home.

I'm not on a freeze, but I'm on a cut down. I just started building the wine cellar and am still looking to buy a house. I should be on a freeze, but I don't have the discipline to be on one.

Wow, you should have been in VT this weekend...Man, I was reamed all weekend about it from family friends!
Re: Anyone else on a 'wine buying freeze' but me?
I keep telling myself I will go on a wine buying freeze. It usually works...for maybe a week. Especially with the mailers that come out this month, it's tough to not buy. Also, some unreal deals on Barolo's lately. Hard not to take advantage of them.

I am. Totally out of room and I just began importing wine from Italy professionally. I'm in a selling mode.

I wish I could stop buying. Between the mailing lists and things on CC I can't seem to reign it in. As for Dehlinger, this is my first offer so I feel like I have to order something to make sure I get another one. I also just ordered QC b/c I can't seem to say no to them either.

Selective buying. A definate slow down on my part. I am shunning anything over $100 (except QC). Passing on HSS.

I bought Carlisle and will buy R-M, that's it. Can't really afford those two, but I'm doing it anyway.

Freeze?
I have skipped my last 6 mailers except for QC and I only went for 6 of them. I did buy a few cases of 07 CdR that are great values. (10-15 a pop) I will wait until I can get the 89 and 90 Bordeaux backfills I have lusted over for prices I choose to pay.

I'm trying to limit myself to Carlisle and whatever Champagne deals pop up.
And by deals, I don't mean $10 below normal pricing. I showed great restraint by not buying the 99 Goisses for $99. That's $26 less than the prior low Wine-Searcher price.
When it hits $75, I'm in .

Peter, I'll find you a bottle to enjoy next week for $75.00 when the Cardinals win the Super Bowl.

Not on a freeze but I've pulled way back. Mainly on my trips to Total Wine and BevMo
